Awareness-Raising Activity on the Proper Use of Plastics Conducted at Subharathi Mahamathya Maha Vidyalaya, Sri Lanka
On May 19, 2026, an educational activity was held at Subharathi Mahamathya Maha Vidyalaya in Sri Lanka for approximately 300 students, in collaboration with the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA). The program used an awareness-raising video featuring Hello Kitty about the appropriate use of plastic, jointly produced with JICA. The students took part in a learning program focused on environmental awareness, followed by a ceremony to present school supplies. While enjoying their interaction with Hello Kitty, the students also deepened their understanding of environmental conservation.
