On January 23, 2024, Hello Kitty visited a school operated by Khushii, an NGO for Children in New Delhi, India, to promote handwashing awareness. This school, run by the NGO, provides additional educational support due to nearby public schools being overcrowded and operating on a double-shift system, which has shortened class hours. Meeting Hello Kitty became a memorable moment for students from underprivileged areas. On the day of the event, 250 students participated and learned the importance of handwashing together with Hello Kitty. This activity was conducted in collaboration with the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) India Office.
