Basic Approach
The Sanrio Group considers its human resources to be its most valuable assets and the foundation for value creation. We therefore provide a personnel evaluation system and an education structure to support the growth and career ambitions of our employees. To continue expanding our business as a global entertainment company, we actively seek to employ talented human resources regardless of age, gender, nationality to serve as managers at Sanrio and our subsidiaries overseas. Recognizing the need to nurture global creative talent, we also design strategic job rotations, upgrade training programs, strengthen international personnel exchanges, and plan and implement other initiatives to provide a wide range of opportunities for developing human resources.

Main Initiatives
Personnel Evaluation System
Sanrio’s personnel evaluation system assesses individual employees twice a year based on the degree of contribution to the mission of their department and the ability to perform duties, without distinguishing between gender or career length. In addition to contributing to the departmental mission, employees are also encouraged to proactively take on challenges through our system allowing employees to propose their own contributions to the company and incorporate them into their goals.
The Evaluation Coordination Committee, comprised of officers from all divisions, discusses the appropriateness of employee evaluations as part of our efforts to ensure fair evaluations for employees.
Education and Training Programs
We support the professional development of our employees by providing specific position training, position- and grade-based training, correspondence courses for self-improvement, and other education programs.
