Basic Concept
The Sanrio Group considers its human resources to be its most valuable assets and the foundation for value creation. We therefore provide a personnel evaluation system and an education structure to support the growth and career ambitions of our employees. In addition, to continue expanding our business as a global entertainment company, we actively seek to employ talented human resources regardless of age, gender, nationality to serve as managers at Sanrio and our subsidiaries overseas.
Personnel Evaluation System
Sanrio’s personnel evaluation system assesses individual employees every two years based on the degree of contribution to the mission of their department and the ability to perform duties without distinguishing between gender or career length. In addition to contributing to the departmental mission, employees are also encouraged to proactively take on challenges through our system allowing employees to propose their own contributions to the company and incorporate them into their goals.
The Evaluation Coordination Committee, comprised of executives from all divisions, discusses the appropriateness of employee evaluations as part of our efforts to ensure fair evaluations for employees.
Education and Training Structure
We support the professional develop of our employees by providing training for specific positions, by job grade, and correspondence courses for self-improvement.

Career Support Structure
The Career Support Desk in the Human Resources Department provides consultation to employees regarding work and careers. In addition to consultation, the desk also arranges for employees to discuss specific topics with other employees with expertise in their area of interest.
